The Social Security Act of 1935 directed the establishment of Colorado's unemployment compensation program. Unemployment insurance provides temporary financial assistance to workers who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. The Colorado Employment Security Act, known as CESA, is Colorado's law that provides for the administration of the state's unemployment insurance program.
The Regulations Concerning Employment Security are the Department of Labor and Employment's regulations governing the unemployment insurance program.
